Who owns this site and contact details
If I buy the website, what is it called? - URL would be up to me?

Question 1: Who owns this site and contact details?

Question 2: If I buy the website, what is it called? - URL would be up to me?

Answer: Yes, you choose your own URL.

URL. The URL is a unique address where the site will be located. You cannot use a URL that already exists, such as www.theaffiliatewebsitecompany.com

We very strongly recommend you have your own unique URL e.g. www.mysitename.com. You need to register your URL (domain), and obtain hosting, before you can upload your site to the Internet under that URL

You can upload the site to an existing URL, such as those you can get free with ISPs but if you have read the Report Top Ten Internet Marketing Blunders #1 you won't want to do that!

We can provide you with both your own domain name FREE, and hosting plans from one of the Top 25 best web hosting companies, at the lowest cost rates on the Internet. We recommend you follow the following procedure:

Question 3: Also, how much of it is customizable?

Answer: It is entirely customizable.

The site is built using Microsoft FrontPage, so that anyone, even a beginner can customize the site. You can use FrontPage2000, FrontPage98 of FrontPage Express which is free.

The website is a straight-forward website.When you purchase a copy, it becomes yours to do with it what you will.

Affiliate Identification Links (AFIDs)
Every time you join a new affiliate program featured on the site, you must get you AFID changed so that you receive the commissions. These can only be changed after you have joined the affiliate programs, obviously. Changing the AFIDs is a separate exercise that does not form part of the customization exercise.

There are some details we cannot customize until your site has been published to the Web. For example, any Affiliate links, since the Affiliate company needs to check out your site first.

To change these links, first join the Affiliate company to obtain your code, then change the link using one of the programs mentioned above.

Question 4: What is the difference between the free sites you can get and this site?

This site is a 'real site'.

You, the Siteowner will be given a complete set of html files that make up the site. You can then edit, modify or deleted any of the files and html pages as you want.

You can, for example, add banners and links, essential for Affiliates.

This site is also pre-approved for many Affiliate programs and by ClickBank - essential if you want ClickBank to process credit cards for you.

The site can be used 'as-is' or can be used as a starting-point for a completely different site.

The site will always belong to you. It will be your property. No one can touch it, change it or take it down.

Free sites. These are often not 'real' sites. If you register for one of these you usually just get a single page with the remainder of the site being unchanged, just being loaded from the front page.

The owners of the free sites, cannot touch the site. They cannot change, add or delete pages.

They cannot join Affiliate programs or accept credit cards.

You will never own the free site. It will always be the property of the company promoting it. They can make any changes they want or remove it completely from the Internet at any time, leaving you completely in the lurch!
